House of Love is an immersive dance theatre experience that dives into the theme of love in a polarising world. Step into the House of Love and see where this adventure takes you. For this play i have made the music and sound design.
Inspired by the classic story of Romeo and Juliet, the conflict between the houses of the Montagues and Capulets takes centre stage. How do self-love, romantic love, familial love, and love for the society lead everyone to make different choices?
House of Love is a unique immersive art experience, based on the principle of creating your own adventure. Move freely through the space and feel the emotions of the performers right beside you. Make your own choices and shape your own journey. How will you shape your path?
This Is How I Work
An essential part of my work is the close and intensive collaboration with the creators and dancers. Through in-depth conversations, the sharing of personal experiences, and the observation of rehearsals, I translate emotions and physical tensions into music and sound. These dialogues form the foundation of a world that does not exist separately from the dance, but emerges directly from it. In this way, the music becomes an extension of movement and an auditory reflection of what is happening beneath the surface.
The performance lasts two hours, and the music runs continuously throughout the entire piece. As a result, the composition forms an ongoing, breathing foundation that immerses the audience in the world of the performance. Emotions and sonic colors constantly evolve, shifting from moments of lightness and near joy to dark, lost passages, and then returning to a fragile yet persistent sense of hope.
This frozen state carries a layered spectrum of emotions: isolation, stillness, tension, but also vulnerability and longing. Long-sustained, icy soundscapes and minimal structures symbolize stagnation and coldness, while subtle shifts in harmony, rhythm, and texture make the underlying movement and emotional unrest perceptible.
