The Story
“Alles is ok” is a short film about a 35 y/o man who suffers from a mysterious mental condition, because of which he hears a constant inner scream. Sylvan is a lonely person whose only wish is to live a normal and simple life, but finds this impossible due to his own broken mind. He’s denied treatment by the same health-institution that got him addicted to a pharmaceutical drug and rapidly spirals into further insanity as a consequence.
How i work
For this horror-thriller drama, I composed a film score that reflects the inner torment of a man suffering from an unknown mental condition, haunted by a constant scream in his head. The music is built almost entirely from recordings of the actor screamining , captured over hours as he expressed a wide range of emotional states. These vocal recordings form the core of the score, manipulated and layered to create a visceral, immersive sonic representation of his psychological struggle.
By integrating 1980s-inspired synthesizer sounds, providing a classic horror aesthetic that grounds the score in a familiar yet unsettling sonic palette.
The result is a sound world that blurs the line between internal and external reality, allowing the audience to feel the protagonist’s mental torment.
